Living in Agia Varvara has been realized in the Municipality of Agia Varvara (Attica Prefecture-Greece) with the support of the ROM NETWORK (Panhellenic Intermunicipal Network for the Support of Greek Roma (
www.rom.net.gr). The project consists of digital photos by young Roma inhabitants of Agia Varvara which are inserted in a video.
Konstantina Drakopoulou was born in Athens and lives in Athens. She studied Archaeology and Art History at the Νational and Kapodistrian University of Athens and went on to postgraduate work in Art History at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Freie Universität Berlin. She is currently preparing a PhD dissertation in Art History at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
She has also worked as an art historian for the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism. At the same time, she participated in various research programs at the University of Athens, Department of Archaeology & History of Art. Additionally, she has curated and written catalogues for various exhibitions. She also teaches Art History in various Greek State Vocational Training Institutes. She is a member of the Society of Greek Art Historians.
Andreas Sitorengo was born on 1972 in Sienna, Italy. He studied painting, engraving and sculpture at the Athens’ School of Fine Arts. Also, during 1998-1999 he won a scholarship from the Lillian Voudouris Foundation through which he attended classes on cinematography and video art at D. Kozaris’ class, at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Bergamo (Italy). On 1995 he attended a four-month course at the Winchester School of Fine Arts on a scholarship from the Foundation of State Scholarships at the ERASMUS program. In 2003 he completed his two-year post-graduate studies on digital forms of art, at the Athens’ School of Fine Arts. He has participated in many group shows in Greece and abroad.
